The verdict: tasted good and smelled like jasmine flowers, but disappointingly weak. Most entertaining to watch the bud unfold into a soggy sea urchin.
Lorien says that you guys don’t have a chance, because if she wanted to poison me, she could easily slip something into my dinner. So there.
That said, had I not been aware of Haoran’s benign intent with regard to the tea anemone, I might very well have believed that it was some kind of poisonous (desiccated) sea creature.
But woe is me, I’ve been replaced. By someone who doesn’t need to crash on the living room floor. My Lady Grey tea just can’t compete with these kind of big guns.

Have you drunk any of that tea I gave you yet? Tastes like crap, but I gave it to you so you still have to try it.Haoran said,

Deb: uh-huh!Ben: I agree – the tea was disappointingly weak, but very entertaining.
Sarah: Ben has good coffee. That will be enough to sate this little camper.
Karen: Ben is now also my friend, and I reserve the right to poison my friends as I please. Oh. Did I just think that out loud?
G: I’ve always been possessed by evil aliens. Haven’t you noticed? Meanwhile your brain is being corrupted by Floridian sunshine.

We saw pods that looked just like the tea urchin (in its deployment mode; see picture 1). They had fallen off a date palm.Lorien said,

(deadpan) Yeah, Deb, you’ve been replaced by a tea urchin. (/deadpan)All, I am your friend, and not just for the tea you can give me.
